    Description

    For your consideration is a rare and authentic King Of Cambodia Norodom Sihanouk (Reigned 1941- 1955) Autographed Album Page with authentic signature, in fine original condition, with unused postal stamp affixed.
    Norodom Sihanouk was the King of Cambodia from 1941 to 1955, and was affectionately known to the Cambodian people as Samdech Euv ''the father prince''. After the Second World War he campaigned for Cambodia's independence from French rule which later took place in 1953. In 1960, he introduced a constitutional amendment which made him the Head of State of Cambodia and he held that position until 1970 when he was overthrown by Lon Nol and Sisowath Sirik Matak and was forced to flee to China. He returned in 1976, and was later incarcerated until 1979, and was again forced to flee the country until he returned again in the late 1980's. In 1993 he was reinstated as the King of Cambodia and reigned until 2004. Listed for auction is the autograph of Norodom Sihanouk signed on a presentation album page which is affixed with a commemorative postage stamp. The autograph is signed in blue ink and the page measures 6.00 x 9.50 inches, it has trivial toning otherwise it is in fine condition. The autograph is authentic, uncommon to obtain and is ideal for display.
